Hit me up, I just thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail. I'm not a newb.

Just so happens that I too live in Hernando. Between my job and family life, it’s been difficult to find time to do so. If anything, I want to test out some of the new gear I bought.
Once the weather is cooler, I’m in for a hiking partner.

Let's try to do a meet up and hike soon. I can make most weekends work for me. I am willing to drive within reason. I have done the hidden pond hang several times, and still consider myself a newb when it comes to backpacking. Car camping expert. Lol. Let me know when works for either or both of you, and let's figure this out.
Hey gents, please keep me in the loop, I'd love to be able to do something like this. I live in Sarasota, and I'm willing to drive a few hours for random overnighters or even a cool day hike. It would be a great way for me to find sites.
I knew all the good sites in northeast Wisconsin, but since moving here last spring I just haven't tapped into that knowledge base yet. My schedule seems to get in the way of the organized hangs since I moved here. Always an excuse, right?
I'm newish to hammock camping (about a year) but plenty of tent camping experience over the years.
Y'all are welcome to join in on our group hangs. We start Nov. 10 for the weekend. Next will be the first of Dec. to be posted soon. We try for at least one per month with some thrown in between. Keep an eye on the southeast trip planning. Feb. 16-18 will be the Annual Sherpa Hang.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
I've got some weekend time. I'm in the Ocala area. Some good section of trails here. Some not so well known.
Between scout activities I try to get some adult camping in to keep me sane.
