Thuy, one of the ladies in my group from Virginia, is coming and doesn't have a hammock. She wants to "test the waters" before taking the plunge and buying a hammock. Thuy is a small Vietnamese woman. Anyone willing to lend her a extra hammock during Hangcon? Also, just a reminder. If anyone wants to help me lead the paddling, send me a message.

I'd love to attend and see you guys again. Couldn't make it last year, because of the Inauguration. Was a complete newb when attending Hangcon 16', but now after completing a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail, should have a better handle on things

I lack transportation, but will throw down on some gas money. Plus my base weight is <8 lbs so space should not be too much of a concern. I am right near I-75, so anyone headed up from Bradenton-Naples will drive right past me.

HangCon 2018 will be in the mid 20's with a chance of snow.....

So, for all you northerners, I need you to bring the cold weather down for us. I know the 20's is a warm front for most of you, but this is Florida. Paradise, the Tropics for some, beyond the "Deep South" for others.

The count is on. Folks coming from all over. NY is the farthest state on the Eastern Seaboard so far. Ohio has the helm from the mid-Northern states. And Oklahoma pulled slightly ahead of Texas in distance.

Which State(other than Florida) will have the most representation? Where are you coming from and will you hold the mantle for longest distance attendee to HangCon 2018? Only you can decide. Cross states? Cross Country? Cross the border? Cross the pond? Come on down.

I have it on good authority that Massachusetts will be represented this year. Myself and at least one other are planning on attending and if we can convince some of our other brothers from the frozen North, that will be even better.

Yup! Like Semperfiguy said you’ll be seeing at least one “Masshole” coming down to invade sunny Florida. Been watching this hang grow over the last few years, now I have 3 reasons to come down. Family, friends and HangCon.
