I'd love to attend and see you guys again. Couldn't make it last year, because of the Inauguration. Was a complete newb when attending Hangcon 16', but now after completing a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail, should have a better handle on things

I lack transportation, but will throw down on some gas money. Plus my base weight is <8 lbs so space should not be too much of a concern. I am right near I-75, so anyone headed up from Bradenton-Naples will drive right past me.

I know there are some folks down your way that will be coming...they just haven't checked in yet. I'm sure someone can make a bit of space for you.

Donations:
First, and most importantly, THANK YOU!! We depend on contributions to make this thing work. Early contributions make it run smoother and with less stress. Yes, we have already started spending money on raffle prizes and other stuff.

Second, please put your trail name in the notes. Otherwise, we don't know who sent it. We probably don't know your real life name (Richard?) and we certainly don't know your vocation (flooring?). We just want to know who's sharing the love. And we want to be certain the right tickets are going to the right person.

Third, and this one gets us every year... please indicate if your contribution should be allocated to raffle tickets or donations or some combination. You may be thinking it's obviously for raffle tickets, but don't say so in the notes. If you don't make it so clear that any ol' moron (like me) could understand, then your tickets might not be waiting for you at the hang.

Thank you again for your contributions! We couldn't do this without you!!

Several folks have stepped forward to lead a group like Randonneur with a Bike Long Distance Hammock Camping class and Bay Mystic signing up to lead some kayak trips. I too would like to throw my hat in he ring.

The Friday hiking trip will be on the Florida Trail from Juniper Springs trailhead off of SR 40 South bound to Farles Prairie trailhead at FR95. The hike is about 9.5 miles or if y'all want, we can start at the crossing at SR40 and make it about 8 miles. We will need some driver volunteers to drop off and pick up the hikers. No lunch on this trip and no water source between trailhead so bring your water and trail snacks.
