The DH is highly customizable but you will wait 4-6 weeks for all that smurfy goodness.
The Trail Lair is a little less customizable but will be delivered most of the time in 3 days.

I suggest owning both since in my humble opinion.... They are the best hammocks (for me) available.
Hi. My name is TrailDaze and I'm a hammoholic. Four of each, plus more, tsk tsk (wagging finger)

However, I think TrailDaze offers some sound advice. Buy, or borrow, both and see which suits your style of hanging the best. I have done this with several hammocks, including the Raven. The good remain, including a Raven. The others head for the FS forum to pass along for others to enjoy. I am confident to say the most of the folks around here have experimented with a variety of hammocks.

I have the Trail Lair and ordered a Raven......just waiting on it. however, I absolutely love my Trail lair. I sleep like a baby in it as does my wife now which is why i ordered a Raven. Can't go wrong with either.
When the wife asks, I simply say "Shug made me do it".

Many were gifts for my employees, but I have kept several for my stash. If this is the extent of my mid life crisis.... I did OK = )

    Raven or Trail Liar

Thanks to all for the advice.

Went with the Trail Lair so I could use it on this week's camping trip.

Pleased with the product and impressed with the customer service.
