    No they're insanely popular up here. I haven't check in awhile since I never stay at them but you used to have to reserve up to a year in advance. They're always booked. It doesn't really add to the traffic though until you get close to one.

    Got it! So, refresh my memory: do I need to pay to camp in the back country (aside from the park sticker which I already have)?

    Oh yes. Only downside of the Porkies, the back country camping fee is fairly expensive in comparison at $15 a night. However it supports the park etc so I take solace in that and hopefully it does actually go back into the park. Given the speed they did the clean up I'm going to guess yes.

    I have a friend that is a park ranger there. She says that fall is the busiest time in the porkies. But it's a big place so it shouldn't be too bad.
