Well thank you everyone for your input here and on Facebook. We've used the voting as the way to decide the date and it was a landslide for the weekend of the 19-21 of January.
I am going to post a new thread specifically for the planning of the hang. Thanks everyone.

Just wanted to update people. The 2018 hang is coming together nicely. We have someone bringing a parachute shelter, so that'll be back for 2018 (thanks Dave)! Additionally, we've got an awesome lineup of vendors...check out the list below (and more to come). Sierra Madre Research has committed to coming to the event as well. They are hoping to bring full systems for anyone that would care to try them, but we're working on the details of that still, so stay tuned. We've also added a few different awards this year as the Big Spoon Award was a big hit last year.
Hillbilly Deluxe (Ryan) was able to scout locations and we should have the coordinates soon. Please take a look at the spreadsheet for more information and to register.

A GIANT thank you to Sierra Madre Research for their generous sponsoring of the event! They not only are coming to the hang, but will outfit people with full setups if they'd like. They can outfit a person's hammock and shelter completely... including TQ & UQ! Please reserve your items now by filling out the required info on our spreadsheet.

Haven't signed up "just" yet... Hoping I can make that weekend work !!!
Would be hanging w/ the following --
UGQ Winter Dream 12 (w/ internal end (2) Pole mod)
Dutch 11ft Netless or Chameleon (w/ winter cover)
UG -- Double up 0 deg Incubator and 30deg Econ
TQ -- Double up 20deg UGQ Top Flight or Flight Jacket (can never remember the name) and 30deg HG Econ
I have good winter gear from snomobiling
would pull in my stuff w/ a large orange, fairly rugged kids sled.
Thoughts? Oversights?
Looks like you're setup as well as needed. A pulk/sled is a necessity, goggle DIY pulk for some ideas. Or you can just pull the sled in as is.
You should be fine stacking quilts, I do it all the time. I would hang your warmest (0*) quilt on the hammock with your econ, with suspension as loose at it will get, over that. Get some help and adjust the second quilt so it is just snug to the first, minimizing compressing the down. Bring your snowmobile apparel to wear around during the day.
What is the usual lows around the 20th of January?
