Hammock Stand for $32
Has anyone used one of these for car camping - that is, has it worked? have you been able to adapt it to an actual camping hammock successfully? Is it worth the money?
Thank you for any and all answers.

It seems way too short to use for sleeping.

It also appears to include the hammock. The total length of the entire setup is only 7'10", which is very short. I'm not even sure if an Eno or similar parachute hammock would fit in there. Unless you really want a very lightweight lounging hammock to use exclusively in areas where there are no trees or fixed objects to hang from, I would probably recommend passing. There are just too many other good options out there.
I'd remove that hammock included -- but I won't buy the thing unless someone has had actual experience with that stand. MOST places here allow hammock camping, but there's one place I like to go that will not. You HAVE to be ON the tent pad without exception.
I would regard that thing as more of a "chair" than a hammock. If you want something to spend some time in, get a real hammock.
It looks like a nice deck or pool side lounger. I wouldn't try camping with it
It's a standard camping hammock with mosquito netting attached. I'm 5'1 and can stretch out without hitting either the bottom or the top (relative to my position) with hands or feet. So I'm going to say maybe 7 feet?
I'm not buying the stand, I think. I'll save my money for the ultralight hammock stand and just use a tent when I'm at Seneca.
Thank you all for your input
