Hello from Kanagawa, welcome to hammocking in Japan.

"Stealth" or "fly" camping is very doable and the worst I have gotten is strange looks from fellow hikers, and a complete lack of understanding when I explained why I DIDNT want to sleep in the crowded Hut/camp site with snoring, coughing, and various other ...ings occurring.
I did have a troupe? gang? group? of monkeys investigate my camp site once thought. That was more fun that I wanted at 4 something am...

Their answer is normally, but everybody sleeps there. Lol out of the boxes not high on the list out here.

Well seeing how I just ordered a Dutchware Chameleon in bright *** orange and yellow, which in hindsight, might not have been the best thing to do when I plan on stealth camping. But whatever...=)
