    I contacted Dutch about it, and as I suspected, he was not aware that TATO had changed their minds and were shipping painted stands instead of anodized. Dutch replied and updated his item description yesterday.

    I am truly not happy about the change, but understand it was an oversight on Dutch's part rather than anything intentional. I like the stand too much to return it for a refund, but it would be interesting to know how much anodizing would add to the cost. If I'm already paying $325 for a premium product, I might as well pay a little more to have it done really right. As others have noted, the paint seems to not be very durable.
    I agree, I was very disappointed in the finish of my stand (received a couple of months ago), finding bubbles and bumps all over the paint.
    But like you, I like the stand too much to return it - I'll just plan on doing touch-ups to it as it chips off.

    hey @jellyfish do you have any plans or measurements. I need to replace both of my bags since they are not sturdy enough.

    I will take some pics and run a few measurements.

    If I did this bag again I think I would add a pocket to the outside.
    I sew things on youtube.
    I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.

    A bag for the stakes? Where did you get material? Joanne’s? Or online?

    My wife laughed when I told her about this thread. She said I must have a higher level of her sewing skills. I think we can do it.

    Enjoyed using the stands again. But wish I could work out something better for tarp attachment.

    @brutalguyracing
    I use Dutch stingers on the tarps. The one pictured here fits the best. I had already taken down my other tarp before I thought to take a picture. I have a couple tarps that are similar to superfly dimensions but apparently not the same. Tarps that are too long for the ridgepole. I need to find a way to clip to the yellow tarp loops and be taut without cord dangling and such. I have to put two of my tarps over top because they are too long to be underneath.

    I thought the ridgepole was 15 feet long but I have a tarp that is 12.5 feet long and the brown one in the picture is 11.5 feet. You can see where the brown one lands but the 12.5 and my other one don't fit.

    Sounds like a good project for 2QZQ to take on.

    I'd definitely be down with a more heavy-duty duffle-style bag with a heavier strap. No need to go lightweight on the bag when you're lugging a 25 LB stand.
