I am still trying to work out the suspension system
Right now i use a continuous loop on one end and 24" dog bone doubled up on other
    Question
Does anyone know how to swap out the biners, they are too small for my old *** fingers to work
    Question # 2
Whats the smallest adjustable whoopie sling length , thinking of trying them for the suspension

I am also thinking of painting a line on tripod side with click button, to try and take the guesswork out of it, thoughts?

I use mini tree straps with dutch bling. They live on the stand and I have removed the carabiners.

When setting up the legs I pull them all the way out and then push them back to the top hole. It is pretty easy to find that button that way. I find that the legs are more stable when they are at their longest.
    I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.

Post #89 a few pages back is a bad shot. Let me see if I have something better.

Regarding anodized vs painted: The kickstarter page, and (up until yesterday) the Dutchware page said the stand would be black anodized. I ordered mine expecting that it would be anodized, and was dissappointed to receive one with black paint instead.

I contacted Dutch about it, and as I suspected, he was not aware that TATO had changed their minds and were shipping painted stands instead of anodized. Dutch replied and updated his item description yesterday.

I am truly not happy about the change, but understand it was an oversight on Dutch's part rather than anything intentional. I like the stand too much to return it for a refund, but it would be interesting to know how much anodizing would add to the cost. If I'm already paying $325 for a premium product, I might as well pay a little more to have it done really right. As others have noted, the paint seems to not be very durable.

Thanks for the update. I was on the fence about this $$$ purchase. I wasn't aware of this and now it's holding me back a bit no matter what some people will likely say to defend it (i.e. "it's a stand outside, who cares if it scratches a bit"). I'm sure it's already worth having a nice stand, but anodizing would certainly make me feel like I'm getting my full money's worth. I used to work for a manufacturer that sent parts to be anodized; the cost wasn't bad, but we did such large volume on a weekly basis I'm sure there was a decent discount worked out. Black and clear were the cheapest since they already had the tanks ready to go for most other manufacturers as well.

That certainly explains why paint disappears from the stand so easily. I took someone's advice from an earlier post and now keep a black magic marker around to cover the blemishes as they occur. I enjoy the stand so much that "function over form" wins out in my mind. I just quit worrying about it and keep hanging anywhere I want.
