Hmmm it's showing up for me. Just a little sail boat that CoastieMo dragged me on a couple of years ago.

That's weird....It didn't show up on taptalk. Does on the interweb though. I have a feeling either of the ships in that photo may have a couple draft issues...
By the way, my Chameleon came in yesterday. Hopefully, the float isn't the first time I'll get to take it out.

Just a quick bump on this trip!
If anyone is on the fence about going due to lack of floats, there are outfitters at both the top of the river and the bottom. I will be renting a yak for my wife from Shenandoah River Outfitters at the upstream end of the river. They rent kayaks for $55 for 2 days and $25 for the additional day...$80 for the whole weekend and do offer shuttle service if you would rather take their shuttle instead of our car shuffle (but they only pick up in Bentonville at 3 PM). They also rent canoes starting at $90 for 2 days.
Additionally, Down River Canoe Company and Front Royal Canoe offer rentals at the downstream end of the trip.

Just a quick bump to keep everyone's mind on this hang. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask. Also, keep in mind that we are not doing the regular "mass meals" so bring your own. Trail food is good, especially for the lunch stops. Last time I went I carried all of my gear in my kayak and took some mountain house, some Pack-it Gourmet and some from a little company in Minnesota that I cannot recall the name of.
Of course, serious backpackers know that you do not have to buy prepackaged meals. You can certainly make up your own or simply bring some oatmeal, poptarts and other simple things. No need to get complicated.
Food is not the point of this hang. Fun on the water and the spectacular scenery is. Seriously folks, this is one of the most scenic rivers in Virginia.
