Identifying head/foot end or entrance to hammock before hanging

I have a WBB with the built-in bug net that I always leave on. I noticed that when I first started using it, I would have a hard time telling which end was the foot/head end, and also which side the entrance was on. I would hang the hammock up, only to realize my entrance was facing the way I didn't want it to. In order to help myself know which end was the foot or head end, I made little markings on my stuff sack, so I'll be able to identify each end before I hang. I did that the last time I came home from a trip about a month ago. I'm going to set up some stuff tonight and see if that solves my problem. I'm sure it will : )

Just wondering what other people do, if anything, to help them identify the head/foot end of their hammock so it's hung up the way they want the first time?

I use red at the head and blue at the foot end. We used to do something similar with gear when I was a kid in scouts and with climbing gear to keep it stupid simple.
This is sexist for sure, and maybe a bit adolescent, but it makes it super simple for me to remember no matter how tired I am or how dark it is outside:

Sorry in advance for any who are offended... but it's now impossible for you to forget the "red head system"

Different color carabiners. Green for foot (grass) and blue for head (sky) makes it easy to remember.

I do the same, but with a different rhyme. Red for the head, blue for the shoe. (a little more family friendly). On my hammock that uses cinch buckles with just plain grey amsteel on both ends, I tied a small loop of fluorescent cord on the drawstring of my double ended stuff sack on the head end. Pretty easy.

Hank Scorpio: Hammocks? My goodness, what an idea. Why didn't I think of that? Hammocks!

What exactly does CL stand for?

Using different colors is a great idea!

I like that idea too - would be easier to see in the dark.

Just leave only the head end bit of suspension emerging out of the sack everytime you pack the hammock.
