It was the first time my wife and I camped in our hammocks instead of the tent (we still set it up for our kids). Being new to Hammock camping, our setup was as follows:
My set up:

Everything worked great. It is always a positive when the wife wakes up and says she was more comfortable than sleeping on the ground or on an air mattress. This was great to hear as my ultimate goal is to get the family to pack light and start backpacking as the kids get a little older.
Revisions I want to do for next time:
1. Forego the yoga mat or use a thinner one. It wasn't uncomfortable, but it bunched up and took me longer when in the hammock to get settled.
2. Ridgeline organizer. I hung my belt, flash light, and hat from my ridgeline, but I need to play around with ideas and want to hang my sidearm as well.
3. By fall, I want to do away with the sleeping bag and move to an underquilt/topquilt. Still researching this for something that packs small and light, but provides good warmth down to 30 degrees Fahrenheit.
4. Put a small blanket in my wife's hammock for our dog. We had her in the tent with the kids, but she figured out how to unzip the door with her nose and kept roaming around in the middle of the night. Once we put her in the hammock with my wife, she slept like a baby.
5. Take pictures of our setup
While camping, we took the jeep through some designated off road/jeep trails as well. All in all it was a great time and was a great first experience to hammock camping.
