I use a HG 20 degree Burrow in the winter. I throw in an Army poncho-liner quilt if it gets down below 20. I camped out in 14 degree weather this past January and was completely warm with this set up. That is about as cold as it gets here in Georgia.
In the summer I use a Costco down throw only.

I use a 3 season ae white cloud now. Most of my hanging is in the summer to fall. In the fall we have seen -30 so I try not to hang in that cold. Sadly that's when I take the rv or the tipi with stove.
I have a ~45* ClimaShield Apex TQ that is the start of my TQ system. I bring this every time I go out. Then, depending on temps, I can add 1 or 2 CDT top quilts to it.
Apex on the outside, one Costco TQ inside gets me down to ~25*, two of those Costcos inside gets me down to 10* or so. I add in my down hoodie and booties to squeeze an extra 5-7* out of any particular set up.
I am about to start working on a DIY 30* down TQ though. This will likely become my go to for most 2+ season adventures, as 2"+ of loft will make it 10-15* warmer than the Apex, and it should end up being 3-4oz lighter as well.
I like the stacking approach, but having a quality down quilt as the foundation will be very helpful.
I have a 50 EE TQ that is relegated to only summer use now because I've been cold in the low 50s a few times. I'd sell it but its so darn light that I can hike with a daypack in the heat of summer. I have a 20 LL TQ that is my regular use quilt for 30 and above, which is 80% of my trips. For temps mostly less than 30, down to single digits, I have an Exped Dreamwalker that is rated to 25, but I've worn/used down to 8 and been comfy. I actually thought it was rated to 15, but just checked and seems like 25 is the rating, but its plenty stout (but heavy at 42oz).
"I wonder if anyone else has an ear so tuned and sharpened as I have, to detect the music, not of the spheres, but of earth, subtleties of major and minor chord that the wind strikes upon the tree branches. Have you ever heard the earth breathe... ?"

I have a set of 20 HG and that is what I use for the whole year.
Not counting the wife and kids quilts: 50, 35, 22, 0, -20
Wife and kids use 20 degree quilts.
Being in Minnesota the 50 degree quilt is seldom to warm and easy to vent.
My go to quilt is my Katabaticgear Alsek 22 degree quilt.
I have a custom HG 30 degree top and bottom quilt set. I'm also in Minnesota but that combo has taken me down to 18f.

I use a 0 degree burrow and a 50 degree burrow by HG.
