    30D silnylon vs 20D Silpoly?

    I'm about to order a Superfly from Warbonnet and before I bug Brandon I thought I would ask all of you. I get that the 20D Silpoly is lighter, is the 30D silnylon more durable? Less stretchy? Better at repelling water? What are the differences? Thanks!

    SilNylon stretches and wets out or soaks in some water when it rains which requires the use of some shock cord guy lines to keep the tarp taught. It's also slightly stronger. SilPoly is the newer lighter and fast becoming the go to fabric for tarps. Doesn't wet out nor stretch at least not near as much as SilNylon does.

    Off topic but, you are in Texas, have you been to Lost Maples? I'm headed out there in a couple weeks to test new gear, including the Superfly. Just wondered if you had been what you thought.

    >>> Mamajamba 20D Silpoly

    Just got this and I love it. I've been using the 30D nylon in a mamajamba and superfly for over 5 years. NO PROBLEMS after ice, snow, wind, everything. But I figured I'd try the poly for less stretch.
