    Ohiopyle - Any Loops?

I plan on going to Ohiopyle in the summer to do the whole Laurel Highland trail but I'd like to do a quick weekend there soon but I'm having a difficult time finding any info on trails outside of the Laurel Highland trail. Anyone know of a good loop I could do for a weekend trip?

Right off hand no but let me do some searching around the house. I use to go up there a lot and had a map off all the trails in that area and over to the dam.

Thanks. I find small little trails but not sure if I can connect them for a weekend trip or even if backcountry camping is allowed. The websites for it stinks IMO.

I went to Ohiopyle for car camping for the very first time in 2016. Beautiful place! I'd be interested to know as well.

    Guys,
Check out CalTopt online maps. It's great and lists a ton of trails.

There's all kinds of trail around there. I use to base camp at that campgrounds before you get to the park and there's a trail that starts there and ties into others. One heads towards the Allegheny Passage another to the Highlands trail and I know there one headed towards West Virginia and there's several that stay in the park. This is going to drive me crazy till I find that map! I started going up there in the 70's. Would have had a camp at Tub Run but wife wouldn't sign the papers.

This is what I found for a map, but some are multiuse, some are horse trails, some don't really loop to one another, nothing loops off the Laurel... ect... any tips of a good loop though the area?

I can remember when we were there this past summer stopping at some kind of trail head behind a barn (near Fallingwater) ... and it was a backpacking trail of some sort. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? In looking at the map, I'm pretty sure it was in the Bear Run Nature Preserve.
