    Help me pick a hike!

Got the go-ahead to plan a hike for me and a friend in April. Not really looking to snowshoe so probably staying out of the mountains (this time of year). Ideally we would like it to be a 'less than' 8 hour road-trip from Kansas City (even less is better of course). My mind is thinking 'south' for weather reasons. Looking to do about 30-40 miles but anything near that would be worth considering it. Please help!

Take a look at Eagle Rock Loop near Hot Springs, AR. I believe that will be in your driving range.

I've never been but certainly heard of it. That would be about 7 hours from my front door so would work. Is it worth that type of drive (assuming you have maybe been)?
