You could always cut that netting off at the foot end and use velcro. I have considered it.

I have thought of that and actually bought a roll of it from Dutch but I just can take the plunge yet. It's kind of like getting a vasectomy...you really have to consider it before putting the knife to it.

Why would one want to remove the bug net when it has such a nice storage place? If it's for the weight how much does the net weight? I would say diet for a couple of days and call it a wash

Because I don't use it in the winter although I know it helps with wind...I just love the freedom.
And it is actually kind of hard to keep it rolled up and it takes up a lot of space. It's almost as large as the hammock. But it does compress well.
It would be a nice benefit to remove it after the mosquito season and put it back on in the spring.

Personally, I think it's a bridge too far (groan), but I wouldn't mind an add-on top cover.

    Thumbs up

I have a WBBXLC with the original detachable bug netting, and a winter top cover. So that can go netless, bugnet or winter top.... Plus it has the WB shelf for easy to reach access.

Is this supposed to beat Warbonnet on price point, weight or compressability? The little slit of budnetting on the winter top cover looks nice aesthetically, however wouldn't you lose more heat with that?

It looks pretty cool though and I'll definitely want to check one out at a hang. The BB has been out for years, and this looks like a great addition to the hammock community

Was kinda hoping someone from Warbonnet would give a little feedback on this idea. Possible? Maybe? Not a chance?

I am missing something. You have a choice no net or with net for the RR. I did not like the net on the RR so I sold it, now thanks to Old Creek I again have a netless RR again,

If you have a RR with a net and a Spindrift why would you need a top cover and/or netting.

I have been fooling around with a extra Spindrift, I am removing the zipper and putting a zipper that I will be able to use either a zip on solid door or net.

I only like my 2 door Spindrift, I have problems with condensation when using the one door Spindrift.
