As a matter of policy, does Hammock Forums in any way distribute user data (e-mails or personal information) to third parties? This came up in conversation on another outlet, and I tried to address it but didn't see it anywhere in the ToS.
If there is no privacy policy in place or if user data is being shared, is there a way to opt out of having it shared since it's not in the ToS for us to have agreed to?

Hi Gresh, you are right only Rick would know forsure on this matter. I can tell you the mod team has never been told the info was sold, datamined or hacked.
I do wonder about the FB pic you posted with the HF member having a specific email addy. Is that email posted on his/her HF info page?
Google as well as many other dataminers have gotten pretty sneaky these days. They could be collect this data without our knowledge.

Got clarification via FB from Rick:
As far as HF releasing any registration or personal data that we receive, I have never released any personal data that users register with on HF and I never will.

HaHa Ido the same thing. I love using a different first name and then when the spam emails, phonecalls, or yes even knocks at my door happen I grab my notebook with the info recorded and call the offender right away to do a bit of screaming in their ear. It's kind of fun. The things an old retired man will do for fun, haha
