DIY Costco OQ comfortable to 30F

So I took my DIY Costco OQ camping two weeks ago to the mountains here in So Cal.
It got down to 30F at night and I slept not just comfortable but warm.
With Base Layer, Double Wool socks, Columbia cotton winter shirt and a Fleece Jacket.

I made this OQ with TWO Quilts sewn together and not ripping the seams.
I followed SARGEVINING video from YouTube " Costco Down Throw Overview & Top Quilt Build "

BTW, the pic is from my backyard and not from the trip.

Nice. I'll bet Costco never knew how many hammockers they would comfort over the last few years.

    Awesome!

I had a similar experience for a fall trip in Ontario that was 30F overnight. One difference for me is I have 2 down throws made as TQ that I fitted one inside the other without sewing. I wore a base layer, fleece pants, warm socks, and a fleece hoodie and was quite comfortable.

I have one folded in half and suspended inside the pad pocket of my Luke's 90 degree hammock for a UQ. A very worthwhile purchase!
