Hi all and I just returned from 2 trips to the Smokies just after the wildfires. Used my Zeppelin UQ on my Hennessy and a lighter sleeping bag for top insulation. On the first trip the 35 degree top bag created a scary situation when the temps dropped into the low teens and I could feel the cold all over my top with all my clothes on. My backside was very warm however and I survived. The next week I substituted my son's 15 deg down bag on top and the temps again went into the low teens and I was very warm.

Overall a newbie mistake since this is the coldest hang I have attempted, but the Zeppelin was easy to attach, adjust and had no drafts. I did make one mod by attaching a para cord to the UQ attachment points where the hammock asym pullouts were located and this kept the hammock side from "crawling" over the UQ.

The real secret I found for both trips was head coverage and neck coverage. This is the only reason I got sleep on that first night.

So thanks to UGQ for a great UQ. They saved my backside!
