Just a quick one to show the baffle system we use on our -1c(30F) and below Quenda top quilts. It is a horizontal trapezoidal baffle design, which from the attached photo you can see that the top and bottom stitch lines of the baffles are offset. The theory being that it reduces the potential for cold spots to develop. You often see this design used in high quality sleeping bags but I haven't seen it used on other top quilts or even discussed in DIY projects which is surprising. It does add a bit of extra weight to the quilt as you effectively sew extra baffles, but the average of the baffle width is smaller than normal, well in our quilts anyway.

I thought I would share as it seems to be somewhat unique in top quilt design.
