One of my favorite places. First time I went for a walk there I said "2 hours and we are leaving"...8 hours later I left.

I day hiked around there a few years ago while visiting a friend in North Vegas. An awesome place - Not what most folks look for around Vegas.

First place my late wife and I went to when we landed in Vegas on our trip out west to get married many years ago. I had never seen the red rock country before. Amazing, and impressive.
We then did the south rim of the Grand Canyon, Hopi land, el Morro and the Malpais, and got married in Santa Fe backdroped by the Sange de Christos.

Beautiful place! That rock outcropping on the right behind your setup, in the third picture, brings back great memories! We spent all day scrambling around with a bunch of scouts there, a few years back.

Since moving to hammocks, I decided that I had no use for the desert. I think that may be a bad judgement. That is gorgeous!
