I would rather be in the woods... my dog would rather be in the pool. My wife thinks we are both nuts.
Are you guys using the mule tape to go around the trees here? or are you going tree strap-mule tape-CL? Is the mule tape that much lighter then the webbing used for tree straps? I am trying to assemble a light weight hammock set up and have been mulling over the suspension. In my "hang around" hammocks, I use the beckt hitch all the time, but I've enjoyed have the whoopie slings for my camping hammock because it is easier to adjust. THis thread has me thinking ill just go with straps and the beckit though.
Using just Muletape can damage trees and is not advised. Many people on here use just straps to Becket Hitch their CL. Muletape gives you the best length to weight ratio of all suspensions. The lightest would be Kevlar 2.2 huggers with Muletape.

Loving the mule tape and Beckett hitch here too. Used it all summer. My go to summer rig now
Trees! the main cause of forest fires....
2.1 oz for 20' of Muletape. 4.3 oz for 20' of Polyester straps. 1.6 oz for 20' of 2.2 Kevlar.
Lightest suspension combination would be 2.2 Kevlar straps.
You can also buy Kevlar Muletape on eBay. It's probably even lighter and I've seen a thread on HF about it. It might be worth checking out if you are really wanting to shave grams.
I use Muletape tape for its flexibility in hang distance more than weight although weight savings is always a plus.

"2.1 oz for 20' of Muletape. 4.3 oz for 20' of Polyester straps. 1.6 oz for 20' of 2.2 Kevlar.
Lightest suspension combination would be 2.8 oz for 4' 2.2 Kevlar Huggers and 10' lengths of Muletape. "
At your listed weights, all Kevlar is lighter.
