I heard a rumor the Merchants Millpond was closed due to snow ten days ago.

    Hi guyz!
I signed up for the trip. I am a new hiker/camper besides Boy Scouts and US Army, hehe. I found this site thu gunner76 while looking at the site for neusioktrail.org. I put a lot of info about myself and my gear on my bio page so you can check it out there. Thanks to Greg for being so helpful with helping me start my adventures. He lives in the next town from me so maybe I'll get to hike the trail with him or others that post here and on his site. I looked at hammocks and even looked at making a DIY bridge on You Tube but It's just not my forte.
EDIT: How do I pay the $15 for the trip?

    See ya on the 2nd!

Could have snowed there a couple of weeks. We have missed the snow by a week in the past.

Mcdiver....welcome to the hang. You can pay when you get to the hang. There will be several DIY's at the hang besides myself like PappyAmos. Feel free to ask questions. Don't worry about being in a tent, there may be one other tenter at the hang.

I will be in the mood for a hike on Saturday once I arrive. Chuck (PappyAmos) and I have done the two smaller trails so I think it would be a great time to hit the 7 mile one. I have a ULA Catalyst that needs some miles put on it.
    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.
