    Big Sur Christmas Week

I'm planning on doing a 2 or 3 night backpacking trip on the skyline to sea trail in December with a few friends. Never been there, I'm sure it'll be rainy and wet, but will it be nonstop and miserable at that time? Or bearable at the very least? Anyone with any knowledge of the area would be grestly appreciated!

I hiked the Salmon Creek trail in January a few years ago and it was fantastic. The trail was a little slippery and I wrenched my knee pretty bad, but the weather, scenery and hike in general was wonderful. It's not too far from where the elephant seals migrate to and that alone is quite a lesson in social status/behavior within the animal kingdom.
Happy Trails to one and all.
Enjoy the outdoors wisely and elevate your perspective.
