Smile My view this morning..... BEAUTIFUL!

As I crawled out of my warm hammock and into the brisk air of the morning, I had to stop for a second to take in the awesome sight of the sun beginning to peak up from behind the trees on the other side of the Chesapeake bay and refect off of the cool, placid water. While I'm not a morning person at all, living on the banks of the bay allow me to see amazing sun rises like this every morning. Its one of the reasons I hang in my yard about 5 nights a week. My wife gets to spread out in the bed, our daughter gets to sleep with mommy a little longer and I get to wake up and have a cup of coffee to one of the most beautiful sights on the planet..... A win- win for us all. Although, red sky at night, sailors delight. Red sky in morning, sailor take warning....

Very very cool!!! Tonight should be even colder for you.
When the wife asks, I simply say "Shug made me do it".

Oh I hope so! Since getting the JRB winter nest I've been dying to snug it up all the way and feel the Downy goodness fully lol. Forecast says 33° for my location, with a nice breeze. Should be a great night to hang!

That's a beautiful view! I'm not a morning person either, but whenever I'm out hanging in the hammock, I usually wake up just as the first light is coming into the sky. It helps reinforce why I get outside and convene with Nature.

Absolutely, same here. How could anyone not want to see a sight like that?

Great pics. I'll echo the sentiment of loving to wake up at first light in my hammock.

Envy! Wake up here in the suburbs of Chicago....well it's not quite like your morning view.

Nice pic. Its those few moments when the sun just starts to barely begin to show, everything is cool, still and silent, when your laying in your hammock with several inches of down around you and a hot cup of black coffee, that really make you love being outdoors and being in a hammock instead of inside on a flat bed......
