How about parking at the Morrison Trail Head and camping somewhere in the vicinity of the parking area?

Morrison is close to Rimrock and Jakes Rocks.

Morrisons "feeder trail" from where the parking lot is to where the loop begins is nice and wide, hardened with bridges over creeks, from what I remember. That would probably help with whatever mother nature throws at us. I didn't get to Rim Rock when I was there, would like to see it...
