I'm still debating on if I should go or not. If I do go I may be testing out a new DIY quilt and I can bring my extra for someone to borrow if needed.

I'm planning to be there early to secure Judge Branch. Good news, if we need to make 2 trips the cars are 10mins down the trail. I'm going to be creative in insulation but would love to see an incubator 20 or 0 if someone has one. (my next to get item)

I am not totally sure My wife uncle passed away today I have been looking so forward to some time in the woods again though. What is your plans

Tomorrow is supposed to be brisk but nice. Going to overnight. In no one shows I will make it 1 night. If others show I'm hgame for 2. I took the time off from work for this. Lol

Just called and talked to Dianna (runs the office/rangers). There is a full burn ban because of the drought. It was supposed to reach 38 last night but was almost at freezing. As much as I have all my gear ready to go not even being able to have a campfire to keep us warm in temps expected to be much lower is going to kill it for me. So far as I can tell everyone bailed already as other things have come up.
I have gear to handle freezing, just not for the hammock. The lack of campfire means dinner is limited. No water in the few spots that had it. Maybe we can try again soon?

I figured they would issue a fire ban. We should try again if we get some rain. We should also plan a spring hang. At least we would know we would have water and campfires.

Aye. Too many things conspired against this one. Last weekend would have been perfect. This one a fiasco. Alas, I'm weekend only until Jan as I took yesterday as my last vacation day for the year. At least I got some writing done. Lol
