    Problem Solved !

I am new to this whole sewing thing. I have made about 5 items so far. I am using an old sewing machine that was given to me. I was really struggling with the rolled hem on the tiny area the machine had. So I fabricated this little portable table for the machine. I made with 1/2" MDF board, Gorilla Glue, Trim Gun, Skill Saw, and Jigsaw. Cut out 18" x 24", scribed the notch, ripped 3- 2 5/8" rails. Glued and shot them. This is my finished product which is also removable/ storable. I am pleased with the results as it does make it easier for me.

Awesome job! An engineer if I ever saw one.
I have a similar Singer machine and I love it!
Mine is white though, I've not seen the yellow.

Thank you, I'm not an Engineer, I just like tinkering. I believe this was White also, just aged ? Maybe it wasn't stored out of the sunlight? It seems to work fine though.

    Nice job, looks great.

You might think about easing the front edge and corners so you don't snag your fabric.

You are correct, I'm waiting for the Gorilla Glue to set. Tomorrow I trim excess Glue, then run router roundover bit around the edges and then practice sewing again.

Unless you have really long arms you may find it a bit awkward to sew with all of that table extension in front of you. Commercially made extensions are usually only a few inches wide across the front so you can sit close to your work.

... and take it down to Lowes to get some paint color matched to the machine

Looks nice and a great idea!

What you might want to do is route the edges to a curve, to eliminate the fabric snagging on the corners...

That's a great idea and solution. My thread injector is in the shop for a "tune up" but when it gets back I may implement this. Thanks for sharing!
