I can't get out of work on the 14th, but would like to come up on the 15th; even if only for 1 night. It's been a while since I hung around with you folks. So, is it Ralph Bice?

Hey Quiet, that's good news! Ralph Bice it is. We can fly an EGL flag at our site, but I suspect you'll spot the half dozen canoes and kayaks pulled up long before any flag.

I think I'm in. If you see a light coming across the lake towards you on Friday night just give me a whoo buddy.

Sunday is the full moon ....
So if it's clear Friday the moonlight should make for a really cool crossing.

    Hey gang,

We're only a couple of weekends away from being back in the Park! Ralph Bice for Oct 14-16+. The colours should be pretty good around that time.

    Role-Call so far is:

    • Chard
    • 76 highboy
    • Red Kanu
    • Lofty
    • ConnieB
    • Quiet
    • Keg

There might be a couple more people lurking so I'd ask them to step out of the shadows and post a reply.

I'm thinking about trying for the island campsite by the eastern narrows two thirds of the way up the lake on the south east shore (45.697753,-78.934793 W). If anyone is heading in early, they might want try to claim that one.

Unless anyone has any special requests, I'm proposing New England clam chowder and French Canadian pea soups for group meals Friday and Saturday nights respectively. That being said, no one is obliged to partake in either of the soups and are free to bring all of their own food. Personally, I usually like to bring something to grill each night.

I can't go on this one. I'll be watching for a report and it better be as good as the one I did for the Spring trip. ;-)

Sounds great Chard. I'm flying home from Ireland in a few hours so should be in full potato withdrawal by then & ready for some chowder!
