    Dutch CRL

I'm looking for a continuous Dutch Ridgeline to go with my new half-wit. Would love the hook and wasp as well.

How about one made out of Lash-It with a Dutch Fleaz?

Hmmmm.... That just might work... How long is the CRL ? And how are you connecting at the other end?

I could make one as long (or short) as you want. I typically use a soft shackle on the other end.

I have a KNT12 as well. I'll take a pic of my setup. It will probably be Monday before I can. Basically, I do a modified Hansen with a soft shackle on one end and a Dutch Fleaz on the other. It's a really simple setup, IMO even simpler than the ridgeline that Dutch actually sells. We can discuss it if you're interested after seeing what I have, you might just want to make your own.

Hey MrPikl, sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday but it turned out busier than expected (just another manic Monday...).

Anyway, here's how I do my ridgeline for my KNT12.

On my "fixed" end I use a soft shackle to secure my ridgeline to my tarp. I spliced a locked brummel into this end of the ridgeline (about 35 feet of 1.75 mm Lash-It).

On my adjustable end I use a Dutch Fleaz. spliced on to a continuous loop and larksheaded onto the tarp tie-out. Sorry for the fuzzy pic.

There is a "V" on each end. This helps keep the tarp suspension from interfering with or rubbing against the hammock suspension.

Using this method makes it very easy to center/adjust your tarp between the trees. See Derek Hansen's short video HERE for a general explanation of the system.

I've never used a ridgeline like the one Dutch sells with the prussik knots. I'm not a big knots guy and my prussiks always seem to slip, so this one works for me. Let me know if you have any questions, I'll try to answer them.

Yea after seeing the new Reflect It on Dutchess site I believe I'm going to work on heading that route. Until then I'll just use the stock lime green paracord ...
