I have used Milestepper.com and geargrams.com but an excel spreadsheet still seems easiest.
Sorry it took so long to respond (normal life interrupts sometimes) ... With your help I was able to adapt one of the spreadsheets (taking some elements from all of them) to meet my needs. After I refine it a little I'll post mine... Thanks again for all the help and useful information!

I've got one that is a bit complicated, but it breaks out categories for some pie charts. Not sure how usable it is by others, but would be will to share with one or two. It might take a call or two to understand how it works. PM if you'd like a look.

Have you looked at gram wennie app. I have a really thorough although somewhat
complicated excel worksheet but i find gram wennie easier to use and very functional.
