Well, looks like we're hitting the road at 6:30 AM tomorrow (less than 8 hours from now). Haven't even got on the trail yet, and one of my trekking poles broke on me already, so had to go pick up another set earlier. Hopefully that's the final gear failure of the weekend.

Panthertown Valley rocks but be careful, the bears are everywhere and very aggressive. I had one walk into my campsite last spring while I was sitting by the fire.
Unlike Georgia, no hunting is allowed in North Carolina and the bears have little fear of humans.

I'll be out the next 3 weekends to various hangs, it's a busy time here in the NE. Taking this weekend to prepare for next weekend when I'm taking out a newbie for their first hang.
