I have 2 pairs of spiders, one on poly and one on the dyneema/poly pro blend and I noticed that the dyneema/poly pro blend is harder to slide and move. Not impossible, just more challenging. The good news is that once you've got your length settled, it's not going to move on it's on. I found that when using the spiders with the poly straps, sometimes the straps would slip or slide after routing through the spider, causing it to slide when I sat in the hammock. So, both pros and cons.

I have spiders on the dyneema as well. Yes they are a little hard to adjust. The only situation can imagine where it would pose a problem is if you have arthritis or some hand disability. I my self have the skin splitting on at least 3 fingers on either hand at any given time. But I still manage them just fine.

My dyneema/poly straps are inbound as well. If you make the Kool-Aid, I'll drink it.

Magnets = Strapless suspension system (SSS or Tesla Slings)! Never have to bother with drip lines again. Great idea, MAD777. Get on that, Dutch!

Thanks for that. Now I only need to decide on the length of webbing. I think 15' will give me more options, especially as it is so light. The fact that the spiders are hard to move is a positive once you are set up. Being able to switch between continuous loops on small gaps and adding whoopies on longer gaps or even not bothering with whoopies at all if you have enough webbing.

I buy 25' lengths, cut in half, sew loops on one end. 12' is bulky enough for backpacking, 15' is a bit too much for me, especially the dyneema/poly. I believe even my 2.2 kevlar is 12'. For extra insurance, a couple of 3' dogbones weigh almost nothing and require very little space.

I wish they sold bear vaults near me. I cant find any. But just using it as a seat looks like reason enough to get one, let along the added security

I just purchased a pair of these last weekend, and got them super fast. Got around to setting them up today with my new-to-me Dream Hammock Thunderbird. These straps are awesome!

Glad to hear so many folks singing these straps' praises. I had no sooner placed my order for some when I stumbled across Outdoors Adventures' negative review of them on YouTube, so it's good to see his opinion is in the minority.
