    I use a 0° incubator and very loose socks (if under 40°). I do most of my hiking/camping in the shoulder seasons so if it does get too warm I will loosen up the quilt and ditch the socks.

    Socks are a must,, nothing like getting up for a midnight pee and squishing a slug with your bare feet as you slip on you camp shoes

    +1. Shorty 30-degree (with pad for me) down to somewhere in the mid- to high 40s, and then switch to a warmer full-length UQ as appropriate.
