Well, no rain last night. Only because I wanted it to. Will get pics in a bit.
I seriously felt uncovered last night. WOW, a big (tiny?) difference compared to what I am used to. I will get used to it, , , , , eventually,,,, but Yea, I felt seriously exposed. I kept thinking: "How do they do it with such a small tarp?" I know it's actually fairly large, but it took a few hours last night to stop feeling like I had forgot to set my tarp up. LOL

Sigh. I want to love this company because they make tarps in NY, but prior to our trip to the ADK last weekend me and my 2 friends had not heard back from OES and were too nervous to risk the trip on a blind luck order, so we went with another vendor. (With amazing results).

I already had the MacCat Deluxe for my hammock but I stupidly ordered the wrong size, I have an 11 ft hammock and probably needed one size up. It works fine for normal rain, but if it goes sideways at all, the ends of my hammock will be slighly exposed. So after 5 uses, I will sell it and order a much larger tarp that I can use for many different things from the other vendor.

It's a shame, it really is a nice tarp and is well made. And we were ready to plop down a lot of money to buy 3 more, but it was too much risk for us.

Yep, I ordered a 12 foot deluxe or ultra or whatever the largest one is back in june and received a 10 foot standard in the wrong color and dirty. It's been four months and probably 12 email and still no reply. I even got my money back through my bank. I've sent Brian several emails telling him if he wants his tarp back to send me a shipping label and I'd send it back to him but have gotten no response at all, guess I got a free standard tarp. I just don't get it, is it that he's just to busy or is it that he just doesn't care? Either way is no way to run a business.
By all means, let's argue about whether or not a hammock will hurt a tree. All the while ignoring the fact that there is an island of garbage the size of Texas floating in the Pacific ocean. Or how about the fact that over 75% of the world's nuclear reactors are leaking...

Yeah, a while back I ordered a 12' in grey and when it arrived it was brown. I requested an exchange and never heard anything. The CC company reversed the charge. I've been holding on to it all this time waiting to hear where to send it. It's a shame because the quality is excellent. I just won't deal with someone who holds the customer in such low regard.
On the other hand I ordered the 11.5 from UGQ as well as a top quilt. I'm beyond happy with the quality.

Well this sucks. I was hopefully going to order a MacCat after Christmas, but I'll need it quick. No way am I risking this action!! I got on the OES mailing list and I noticed an address that said Somerville, MA on it. Wonder what that's about? Maybe he's in college in MA and his tarp business is in NY? No idea. But that stinks...
