    2-person Bipod Project Thread

Hi all. After numerous threads filled with many, many good ideas, I've decided to venture into a project I haven't seen before. Mine will be set up around a 2-person bar spread hammock.

My goals for a stand are:
    -Must support a 600lb hammock
    -Must fit in a trunk
-Able to hang towels on to dry, but not via the ridgeline.
-Able to be set up and struck by one person (seems odd if it's a 2-person hammock I know)
    -Stable, not wobbly.
-Lowest cost option wins, but cost is secondary to above goals.

I entertained 3 starting options: the Pole Stand, TurtleDog stand, and a Bipod stand.
After a pro-con exersize, I decided on a Bipod stand.

    Details to follow!

    8. I can't remember, but someone here on the forum invented the idea of a boom stake. They get the credit. This place in AU seems to make a nice version that I want to try.

The legs are 3' long, and I'll use a 12" section of 2x2 wood as a union.

Parts on order. Pictures when I get it up!

Got the basics done. Waiting to assemble the rest with my kids. You can see what it looks like disassembled, and assembled. I'm not convinced the play of the legs is correct, but I wanted it to be super stable. The cable in the middle is NOT to prevent the legs from spreading, but rather to hang a towel from.
