I have one. I got it on sale for 14.00, and use it for winter camping when I don't need a bug net. I did not change out the rope at the gathered ends or the S hooks. I took a 25 foot length of Amsteel, tied two metal rings on it, set apart at the 82 % length of the hammock, to act as a ridge line, and hooked the S hooks to the rings. The Amsteel line at the ends are the suspension that run to the tree straps. It goes up really fast that way. I like the GT Ultralight and take it backpacking. If a scout in our troop wants a good starting hammock I would highly recommend it. Cheap and Comfy.

I do a similar suspension with amsteel, rings and straps. The suspension easily fits in the sewn on stuff sack with the hammock. It's a light and compact setup I can easily toss it in my bag whenever I go for a day hike, the park, the beach, etc. I have napped in mine several times and overnight twice fairly comfortably. I am 5'6".

Here is more experience with my GT ultralite I had over the weekend. I went car camping with my wife and kids. I spent the first night in the tent trying to avoid the slopes, roots, and whatever else while I slept. I woke up stiff! As in my previous post, I generally pack my GT ultralite so this was going to be my bed for 2 more nights. I tied my Costco down throw underneath in less than perfect fashion and slept confortably 2 nights down to 10C. Nice! Just to be clear it is not as confortably as my hennessey but it was far better than sleeping on the ground.
