My wife and I will be on our way home from a week of lollygagging in the U.P. We'll stop by and hang for a night or two.

Looks like a nice group may be there Thursday night. Depending on our family plans, I may try and convince my wife to let me head out for just one night. We have a class to teach Friday evening and then a family reunion (that may or may not happen) that weekend so doubt I can make the rest of the hang.

Been stalking this post for a while now. I plan to attend. Will arrive Thursday evening, and leave Saturday noonish! I will bring some wood to donate to the fire, and assorted food and snacks to share. Looking forward to this "Hangout."

Welcome to the hang. Thanks for bringing extra wood. The DNR recently did a cull of the dead standing timber there, so nearby wood is probably picked over already by prior campers. See you thursday!
Looks like I will be able to make it Thursday night! I will be leaving Petoskey around noon so should be there no later than two. Any specific site numbers you guys want to camp in? Look forward to a night in the hammock.

HAHA I was hoping to do just that!!! Right now, we're looking PERFECT!! Nice consistent temps: 79hi/58low give or take a few degrees. Sun/clouds, slight chance of scattered showers Friday night but it's looking very weak. Actually a nice rain would be nice overnight since it NEVER rains when I take a trip. I'll take this forecast; last weekend would have been hell!If markr6 wants to post a weather update, go for it
I'll be coming in Thursday evening, sometime between 4:30-6:00PM. I'll bring some extra cash to possibly get an additional site out away from the action for some quiet...light sleeper here
I can't say I'll have enough to go around the whole crew, but I'm bringing some stuff to share:

1lb bacon and 12 eggs for breakfast (bringing my stove)
Chips, doritos, tortilla chips
Chili (I'm guessing a decent size bowl for 6?)
Coffee every morning

p.s. if for some reason we cannot hang here, I have a nice backup area on state land near Grayling in the pines. Just in case.
