Thanks for the video. Really helps me understand. Seems pretty nifty and a great timesaver. I have been trying to reduce my setup and breakdown time to be able to get on the move faster.

It's a great time saver. I use it to keep everything secured at camp while fishing

    That is AWESOME!!!

$8 a night is a steal for parking and lodging lol. How much do u weigh? I'm wondering about the weight capacity of your setup

I had to try this. I got a set of XXL pantyhose ($1.65) and a set of XXL ladies tights ($3) from Fred's, a regional discount chain.

First held a 10' hammock, 20* UQ, and poncho.

Second held 10' hammock, pillow, poncho liner, 40* UQ, and poncho.

I cut out the panty part from front to back along the seam and a hole in the toe. Then slid each end to the middle, which I secured with two 2" elastic bands with Velcro ends. The tights were slightly thicker, so I'm guessing will last longest.

Both reduce down to about 11"H x 9" dia. in my UQ compression bag.

I only took a photo of the first. Forgot to photograph the second one.

Great video. Thanks, Shogun. What size LST are you demonstrating? Is it the small or large?

I love the tube WL made me for my bridge, but mostly for car camping. I figured out my quilts and hammock take up a lot less room in my pack if broken down into their respective sacks (just my observation, I have no quantitative measurements).

I tried the whole "cram the whole thing into a compactor bag" strategy in the bottom of my pack and that worked OK. It was a huge pain trying to get all the fluffy down goodness into my pack. I tried putting it in the bag first, squeezing out most of the air, then jamming it into the pack. Jamming everything into my pack with the liner bag already in place was about the same amount of hassle. Maybe I'll try putting everything into a mesh laundry bag first then squishing that into my pack.

Either sway, the lazy slug tube (singular for the bridge) is super fast and easy. I use it for car/kayak trips because I'm just jamming the whole tube into a big drybag with my tarp and other camp gear. The best thing is I can hang my tarp/hammock but leave everything in the tube up out of the way until just before turning in. Overall though I think it takes up a bit more room than either other technique but the time savings and ease of setup make it worthwhile.

It sounds like you don't have the mesh ones. Is that so?
