I recently received a budget friendly hammock for Fathers day and seem to really enjoy it. I've been camping and backpacking for many years and just never understood the lure of hammocking, until now! I hope to learn a lot form you guys to assist in my new found hammocking journey.

You're a little ahead of me so far, MrPickl since I haven't ordered my first hammock yet, but you're gonna love being on the hammockforums! So much information for newbies like us, and a lot of good people to help you figure things out. If you're a DIY'er, there are some mad scientists on here that are designing the wildest hammocks you'll ever see! At this rate, their madness will continue increasing exponentially until somebody designs a hammock that strings itself up and makes you coffee! Hint: If you end up on that project, I want one.)
