Scared too--I might be there. What will I forget this time? Is this hike in-or is it car camping?

Car camping....that can be a bit away from the car. Not a "hike though." Just a ways to lug stuff that ain't rigged for hiking.

Thanks CoreyR, the Smoked Butt Hang at Falls Lake NC might not be. Some have expressed interest in hosting but don't have the money up front to reserve site. Last weekend Pappy Amos said if the site has not been reserved by now--it might not be available this year. If needed-it can be moved to another location--or maybe skip a year.
I know that y'all great smokers will figure a way to delicious smoked goodness somewhere somehow.

Hotlips hosted the Smoked Butt the last two years and said she is not hosting it again. Letting someone else do it.

Grayson's group site is easy to get too, its about a 100 to 300 foot walk depending where you park.

Yeah, it could be my bad leg speaking there. The VA just upped my disability, retro active fifteen years! :-) then they got to deal with the heart attack I had when they deposited THAT check before they informed me!

Oh, wow--I gotta hear your story around campfire. Does your bride camp with you--and has she tried your hammock? A driver told me--"You will never feel lonely until you lose your Mom and Dad" He had lost both of his parents due to aging and his loneliness was deep.

You should have plenty of experience now since the last hang you attended. No climbing hills to the campsite here. Don't forget the coconut milk now.
