I used these nets in the past while turkey hunting. I think they actually work much better with a hat. It keeps the net several inches away from your face. But an integrated, as in sewn to the hat? That would be nice!

I don't need a net at least half of the year, so probably removable. Maybe w/KAM snaps.

Good advice, johnspenn..... I guess after spending all my working time outside in the heat, humidity, bugs, very loud noises, toxic chems, the last thing I wanna do is spend my day's off in the heat and humidity some more.....I'm ok with the bugs! But the heat.....All of my cloths have rotted off my back...it's like Devils Island here!!
Now this is what I'm talking about P2150456.JPG ahhhhhhh, now doesn't that look nice??

Just waiting for my Circle Beard here. Hate the heat, but if it gets below 81 or so at night, why not at least try? Far as the comments poo-pooing a solar setup go, I was joking about fans. Even those 12v computer fans eat up a lot of power, and those camp fans are the WORST! Why would I plug a 12v camp fan into a 15,000mah battery pack when all I've got to charge it with is a 1/2 watt solar panel? Doesn't make any sense to do anything but charge small things, like lanterns and mebbe my shortwave. As much as I don't like taking extra crap into the woods, nothing beats kickin' back in front of a campfire and listening to Coast to Coast AM when the stars are so bright and clear, ya feel like ya can reach out and put 'em in your pocket. Well, one thing comes to mind! Stretching out in a hammock under said stars while listening to Coast to Coast AM!

WOAH! I didn't know there was any place on earth that didn't get below 81° at night! (joking...but just barely ) So what's the daytime temp?

Hot Summer Nights. It's what we used to call it at Wet-N-Wild in Orlando.

Many a night will not get below 85*F during Summer in July and August. At least in the suburbs. In the woods it's always a little cooler...maybe.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Low temps not getting into the 70's was what drove me out of Dallas - two summers was all I could stand.

The humidity here in NC is about as bad as I can ever recall. In 15 years at my current house I've had to mop out the drip pan in my attic HVAC unit 3 times - all in the last week. Need to find that clog. Briefly considered overriding the float switch and dealing with the consequences. Briefly. I'm still toying with camping Saturday night, though.
