VIDEO: Tour of my new DIY hammock

A quick video of my new hammock and some of its features. Its a 10' hammock made from HyperD 1.6 Wide, with knotty mod end channel with mule tape in the channel etc. etc. Nothing earth shattering, just how I made this one.

    Good luck,

Very impressive! I can't put my finger on it...but it looks very comfortable. Possibly the fabric molds around you or something. It's so wide that the edges come up very nicely and keep the feet inside the hammock. Great looking hammock!

Looks great! You can tell that some preplanning and forethought went into the build. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you, it is quite comfortable, still have a small problem with the floppy fabric at my face so need to adjust the knotty mod a bit more.

Thanks johnspenn, I never do anything the easy way, what should be a quick hammock build ends up taking two days. but that's the fun part.
    Good luck,

Nice hammock. I wish i had the time and the motivation do learn to do this but it's just beyond my skill set. Did you have a mic on during this video? What camera / mic combo do you use?

Thank you so much, though this was a hastily edited video I do hope its watchable and listenable . Thanks for the kind words.

Thanks. Sewing is pretty easy, but the time commitment is the hard part. I was wearing a mic, some cheap Audio technica lav recording into a Zoom H1. Video shot with Nikon D750 and audio sync done in post.
    Good luck,

Thank you O&B, I figured with the mule tape I can have shorter CLs and minimize the wear on the channel itself.

Your video is engineered to the same high standard the hammock is. Thanks for both. I like the grosgrain reinforcement in the end channel. Do you think it works along with the ridgeline attachment to help the end spread out a bit? Is this a sort of soft replacement for a mini spreader bar?
