    Climashield Pillow?

I have a bunch of odd shaped climashield leftover from cutting for my quilt. I'm thinking about making a pillow out of it. Anyone out there tried that?

Been making Climashield Pillows since 09' There are many copies of our pillows on the market now. You should not have trouble finding them listed by many vendors.

They're great indeed and a very simple DIY project. I've built many of them for myself, friends and family.

You can probably find a number of other threads on them and use dimensions similar to those offered by our cottage vendors, or base dimensions on whatever you find suitable for yourself.

I have made one. I had some left over climashield pieces and fabric from my top quilt project. My pillow ended up about 12"x 8" x 4" thick. They can be a little warm in the summer time, but still make a great pillow. Plus, Easy to wash and dry and no issues with down allergies.

How much support do you get for your head?

I did the same thing with quilt leftovers but I didn't stuff mine enough. I need to rip it open and add some more to it. I started at about 3 inches thick but because it compresses so well it ends up too flat when i lie on it.

It's a great item to have. I made one for winter sleeping as it provides insulation under your head. Use it full time ever since. Weighs nothing and is comfortable.

I own an AHE Cub pillow stuffed with Climashield. Keeps my neck nice and warm, and the size is just right.

It is very supportive, and yet soft at the same time. You can customize just how much support you want very easily. I sewed the climashield directly to the pillow fabric, folded it in half, and sewed up the sides. Once flipped inside out, it creates a little pocket that's like a burrito. then basically stuff the "burrito" util it is as full as you want it, or you run out of climashield, and sew the end shut. I have been thinking of making myself a full sized pillow for my bed because i find it more comfortable than any pillow i've bought in the stores.
