    I've not.

    Only think I might comment on is the setup of keeping the strap passing straight thru as opposed to being pulled off center. The whole P thing when wrapping the strap around the tree.

    Here's the setup
    On the side of the failure, the hook was right side up I believe.

    I'm pretty sure the strap is supposed to come off tangent to the side of the tree not perpendicular to the center.

    Dave is correct but all in all it's pretty hard to bend one of those no matter how your using it.,
    Better ask Dutch what he thinks about it, i would be very interested in his opinion on this

    Yikes. I could be wrong...I'm on my 4th Sam Adams Summer Ale here...but it looks like the Dutch hook is upside down. And not to be too personal, but how much weight was in the hammock when this happened? More than 1 person?
