    Alright Tom, you got me.

So, i posted before i picked up a backpacker for 30 bucks and a hatchet.

Fast forward to yesterday, after 16 miles of hiking I bust this thing out and stare in worry. I tell my buddy I might have messed up. This hammock was short... and narrow.

I wake up the next morning after spending probably my most comfortable night in a hammock yet. Hennessy witchcraft. Somehow I had tons of room and a lay so flat I was almost on my stomach.

Also, used an extra Eno Helios suspension and I think its actually a perfect match and Ill keep them together. Perfecy combo for my lumbar pack backpacking setup.

    Im definitely a fan.

I AM wondering how Ill fit a pad in there though. I think a nest is in my future.

Get the JRB Nest under quilt and kick it up to a whole new level.

I have a warbonnet Xlc but keeping going back to my Hennessey. It is still my favorite.

I use my Nest every time I hammock regardless of the temperature.

Ha - I measured mine once and I think it was 8 1/2 feet long.
My HH Backpacker is my all time favorite despite owning a couple gathered ends/UQs/HUG and Fronkey bug nets.
For my bottom entry HH, I used a 30" X 36" Gossamer Gear pad for many years. However, I discovered the $100 HH Super Shelter and the pads are now for the grandkids use :>)

It wouldve just right for a 40deg quilt. Started off waaay too hot but by 1am it dipped down to the sixties with a breeze and i slipped into my marmot pounder SB.

I was putting a trip report together and my video editor crashed with most of my footage pretty bummed about it but it gives me an excuse to get back out sooner.

Wow. 8.5. Thats hilarious. Once you realize therea absolutely no knock in comfort you really value the short length. Site selection was easier, more convenient.

Anyone have tarp recommendations? I need something with at least moderate coverage but lightweight. I have a superfly.. but space is an issue, not so much the weight. How does the explorer diamond fly compare?
