Evolution of a Suspension System

Just picked up some 3/4" Mule Tape. I don't sew, so I made loops using a "Figure 8" knot. What are your thoughts on the strength of this to safely hang?

It's not a continuous loop. It's a Grapplers Hitch, which is a type of soft shackle that I use instead of a Dutch clip or carabiner. The reason for using it rather than running the strap through the webbing loop is that you can detach your strap from the tree and move it up or down the tree (for example if there are branches in the way) without having to detach your suspension from your hammock.

Been using the grapplers for a few hangs and they work as advertised! I really like them....
