Have you guys switched out the ropes on your mark 2. I was thinking of going to amsteel but was wondering how you transfer the pin thing that holds your rain fly down.

Have you guys switched out the ropes on your mark 2. I was thinking of going to amsteel but was wondering how you transfer the pin thing that holds your rain fly down.

I did. I put whoopie slings on mine. I found the tarp stays down just fine even without the clip, even in the rain. Sometimes if the wind is up I'll take the tail of the whoopie and pass it through the clip, then tie it to the line, just to make it a bit more secure in Sector Seven.
